he British Psychological Society (BPS) is the representative body for psychologists and psychology in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1901, the BPS has a long history of promoting excellence and ethical practice in the science, education, and application of the discipline. It supports psychologists throughout their careers and works to enhance the influence of psychology for the public good. The BPS provides resources, professional development opportunities, and publications, and also accredits psychology courses.
